🛕 Gangotri–Yamunotri Itinerary

Day 1: Haridwar – Barkot (180 KM / 7–8 Hrs)

Pickup from Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport, and drive to Barkot via scenic Mussoorie. En-route stop at Kempty Falls for photo breaks and refreshments.
Arrive at Barkot, check into the hotel.
Overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36 KM drive + 6 KM trek one way)

Early morning, drive to Janki Chatti, the base point for the Yamunotri Temple trek. From here:

• Trek 6 km to reach Yamunotri Temple, or take a pony/palki (at extra cost).

• Take a holy dip in Surya Kund (a natural hot spring).

• Offer prayers to Maa Yamuna at the ancient temple.

After darshan, trek back to Janki Chatti and return to Barkot.
Overnight stay in Barkot.

Day 3: Barkot – Uttarkashi (100 KM / 4–5 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive through beautiful Himalayan valleys to Uttarkashi, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River.
On arrival:

• Visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple.

Evening is free for leisure or a peaceful stroll through the spiritual town.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 4: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 KM one way / 3–4 Hrs)

Early morning, drive towards Gangotri, passing through the enchanting Harsil Valley, known for its apple orchards and natural beauty.

At Gangotri:

• Take a dip in the holy Yamuna River.

• Offer prayers at the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga.

Return to Uttarkashi by evening.
Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Rishikesh – Haridwar (190 KM / 5–6 Hrs)

After breakfast, drive back to Rishikesh / Haridwar.
On arrival, drop-off at your preferred location – Airport / Railway Station / Hotel – with divine memories from the Himalayas.
